The carpet has a Biljik wool pile (surface) and cotton warp (foundation) with an average of 156 Knots per square inch. The rug’s knot density and wool quality make it durable, soft, and silky.Â

Material
This rug has a wool pile and cotton foundation. Its pile (surface) is Biljik wool, a high quality wool processed and imparted from the country of Belgium to Afghanistan. Biljik wool is extremally soft while maintaining its durability. The wool is dyed with vegetable dyes to make the dark red color of the rug.
The foundation of this rug is organic cotton from Afghanistan. The cotton foundation makes the rug soft and a reduces the weight of the rug.
