The rug is entirely hand-knotted. In the first step, the artisans handspun the wool to make yarn, then dye the yarn with natural and vegetable dyes. Once the yarn is ready, they lay the rug’s foundation with cotton thread and then knot the vegetable-dyed wool yarn to make the rug and its design. It usually takes two months to complete one square meter of this rug.

This rug is known as Kazak, Super Kazak, and Ziegler rug. It has a cream color border with blue ground color. Like all Ziegler rugs, this blue color Kazak area rug has that unique Abrash (watercolor) effect.

Ordered a map of Afghanistan Rug. First time ever buying a rug from overseas, and it was a great experience. They were accommodating, and whether if you know Farsi or Pashto or English it can be done.

Very professional throughout the whole experience. There was a problem where the rug we ordered had been sold without being recorded properly and they curated a list of alternatives based on our design choices and resolved the problem with no hassle, stress, or extra cost.
